On Wednesday, 7/26/23 Richard Eastham, Community Liaison, Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. presented an engaging and important information session on Falls Reduction and Preserving Balance to attendees at the Rutland Senior Center. The well attended event included the group presentation as well as individual balance assessments, which 100% of the attendees eagerly participated in. Kristin Mattson, PT, Chief Development & Clinical Care Transitions Officer, Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc. administered the standardized assessments. Participants then received individualized education around fall prevention including the importance of hydration, footwear, posture and base of support, and environmental risk reduction.
