2020 heading into 2021

2020 has been an exciting year for GVNA HealthCare and VNA of Southern Worcester County as we joined forces to become the newly formed Care Central VNA & Hospice, Inc.- Healthcare in Your Neighborhood. This partnership created a stronger, more resilient community VNA that will better serve the 98 communities that make up our new service area.

It has also been a challenging time to bring both agencies together in a time of isolation due to the pandemic. Both agencies have worked extremely hard to get to know each other in new inventive ways! But one constant has been the quality care that continued to be provided during COVID. Along with these challenges has been changes in how we conduct business and events this year. Since large gatherings are not recommended, we had to cancel our Executive Leadership Breakfast for 2020. But rest assured that we have secured our speaker for next year on Thursday, November 4, 2021, so mark your calendars!

Despite our inability to gather for this event, our sponsors have been beyond gracious by committing to their annual sponsorship anyway! This year, sponsorship dollars will be allocated to the purchase of needed PPE supplies. Our Homecare/Hospice nurses and therapists, along with Home Health Aides, are helping both those recovering from COVID 19 and others with serious medical conditions in unpredictable environments. It is critical for us to keep our front-line staff safe while providing medical services in the homes and neighborhoods of the communities we serve. We truly appreciate their generosity and understanding of the vital services we are providing to patients in their homes.

Thank you to the leaders of our region!

We gratefully acknowledge the 2020 sponsors of the Executive Leadership Breakfast.
